Privacy Policy

Fitting Room is a résumé and job-posting matcher for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It works entirely on your device. This policy explains what the app keeps on your device and what happens when you choose to send something out of it.
What we collect
Nothing. Fitting Room has no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking. The app does not send your job descriptions, your résumé, or anything you write anywhere, and we do not receive any information about you or how you use the app.
What stays on your device
To remember your work between uses, the app saves the following on your device only:
- The job description and résumé text you give it, and the corrections you make to what it read
- Your choices about which résumé lines answer a requirement, and the phrases you write
- Your Light, Dark, or System appearance setting
Your résumé usually contains personal details such as your name, email address, phone number, and work history. The app treats all of it as private, and stores it in the app's private storage, encrypted by iOS file protection whenever your device is locked. This information is included in your device backups (iCloud or your computer) according to your own backup settings. Deleting the app deletes it.
Photos and camera
When you choose photos, the app sees only the pictures you pick; it does not browse your photo library. The camera is used only when you tap Scan, to turn a page into text on your device. iOS asks for your permission first, and you can change it in Settings. Photos, screenshots, and scans are turned into text on your device using Apple's built-in text recognition; the pictures themselves are not kept, and the names of the files you open are not saved.
When you share, print, or export
Export only runs when you choose it. You pick the file type and then where it goes, such as Files, Mail, or a printer. Once a file leaves the app, the policies of whatever app or service you send it to apply. The same goes for “Export session”, which packs your job description, résumé, and phrases into one readable file so you can carry your work to another device of yours. Keep that file as private as the résumé itself. Fitting Room does not keep a copy or send it anywhere else.
When you email us
If you tap the contact link in the app, your email app opens a message to us. If you send it, we receive your email address and message, use them only to reply, and do not share them.
Crash reports and beta feedback
If you have chosen in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. If you test the app through TestFlight, Apple sends us any feedback and screenshots you choose to submit. Apple handles this information under the Apple Privacy Policy.
Deleting your information
Choose Options, then Erase everything, to remove your job description, résumé, corrections, phrases, and saved choices from your device. Deleting the app removes them too.
Children
Fitting Room is not directed at children under 13, and it collects no information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
